How the ARIZONA REGULATOR® known as AMERICAS TRIGGER® came to be

I have always had a fascination with Arms.  And rarely talk about some things that will probably come up as I am finally able to bring America into my world too better see how the ARIZONA REGULATOR® came to be now that my U.S. Patent is about to issue.  Until now I couldnt say much as my patent was still being reviewed.  Now that prosecution of the merits is closed I can talk a bit about some things.

As a child in grade school I was taught to read and understand the Constitution and I thought it was cool that the men that formed America were insightful enough to put those kinds of things on paper way back then.  Yes that may seem strange but as a child I also spent most of my life around grown ups doing grown up things living in the grown up world and speaking with and like the grown ups.  I was not allowed to use children speak slang etc when I was a child.

So from the Constitution and John Wayne movies, Clint Eastwood movies, Dukes of Hazzard, and all things great in the late 70s early 80s my interest in Arms evolved over the years.  And it never really mattered what kind of Arms they were, anything from a slingshot made from a fork of a small sapling tree and a few rubber bands to bb guns to squirrel guns and shotguns and rifles and pistols and revolvers and dont forget old guns too like black powder cannon and mortars, fused cannon balls, grapeshot, historical grenades, muzzle loaders, flintlock, matchlock, on and on.

To full blown modern weapons of war, regular guns, belt fed guns, mini guns, big guns launching shells the size of Volkswagens, howitzers, mortar, bouncing bettys, claymores, frag grenades, you name it and its all interesting to me in each thing(s) own way.  The ability to use some of the full blown weapons of war was of course part of why I went into the Marine Corps back in 1994.

I wanted to be a Marine since i was a small kid every time I saw the Marines commercial on TV I would get all excited and tell the grown ups "I'm gonna be a Marine".  And so I did just that when I grew up.  It was a great thing for me in life I got to got to boot camp on Paris Island out in 3rd Battalion Lima Co the "out of sight out of mind Company" since our barracks was back in the corner of nowhere visible from main roads.

In boot camp I got to shoot alot of cool things and throw grenades and learn to set charges same as all of us got trained to do in boot camp.  That was some of the coolest things I could have ever gotten to do and the only way I could legally do it was in the Marine Corps.

I went in Open Contract, I didnt care what my M.O.S. job was going to be.  Every Marine is a Basic Rifleman so I was happy with that.  The Corps put me into the Ammunition and Explosives M.O.S. Field.  I never went to war I was in after the first sand excursion and got out before the second sand excursion kicked off. 

J.D. 1994 all of us Open Contract Marines got sent to Camp Guard for the first 30 days after we reported to Camp Geiger for Combat Traning, after 30 days Guard Duty I went to MCT. 

Not SOI as I was not an 03XX MOS.  Didnt know what my MOS was until MCT was done thats when I found out I was going to do Ammo and Explosives so I was sent to Redstone Arsenal in Alabama after MCT for Ammo and Explosives School.

Spent most of my enlistment at Camp LeJeune North Carolina doing Ammo and Explosives, then just as all Marines at least back then we all had to do either one year unaccompanied or a couple years accompanied at an overseas Duty Station.

For my unaccompanied overseas tour I was issued Orders in 1996.  Corporal Winland to report to Commanding General Staff 3rd Marine Division G4 Ammo Okinawa Japan in 1996.  CGs Staff Assignment is when the Marine Corps cleared me for Top Secret.

Keep in mind we didnt have cameras and cell phones in our pocket back then so pics are kinda few and far between.  Okinawa was alot differnet than Stateside we had alot of good times there.

When my year overseas was about done the Division Career Planner wanted me to stay in and thought same as all the Div CGs Staff NCOs and Officers that knew me along with some III MEF Staff across the grinder that knew me.  All thought I would be a good Drill Instructor.  So she offered me a B Billet opportunity to go be a Drill Instructor on Paris Island once I finished my tour on the CGs Staff.  I had to turn it down.

My right knee was damaged in boot camp and I gutted my way thru one 4 year enlistment and got out.  I loved the Corp and still do to this day but I knew there was no way I would make it to retirement with my bad right knee.  I ran PT for 4 years with my right knee damaged felt like someone shoving an ice pick under my knee cap every time my right foot hit the ground.  It was brutal but I had to make it thru my enlistment and get a normal Honorable Discharge from the Marine Corps with a reenlistment code of 1A.

I spent the year on the GCs Staff and came back stateside in December 1997 to do S.E.P.S. at Camp Pendleton where I went on terminal leave until my EAS which was in very early 1998 since I had alot of Leave on the books and was able to take Terminal Leave to be home for Christmas that year so I went home just a few days after I got to Pendleton.

All that so I could do a couple things I wanted to do, be a Marine, and play with legit weapons of war legally.  It was alot of fun and I learned alot of interesting things from very Intelligent people while I was on Active Duty in the Fleet Marine Corps.  

To stay on subject of Arms lets fast forward thru my machining and manufacturing background after the Marine Corps.  I have spent the past few decades in Contract Manufacturing out here in AZ.  Started out programing and operating CNC machines and evolved into running entire operations.  Very successful full spectrum Career considering I have no college nor anything else like that.  

Always have lived on the edge so I found an adrenalie rush at the Grand Canyon back then.  Couldnt play with the weapons of war in the Corps after I got out so adrenaline was the next best thing.

My old friend from back home that took the pic of me on teh edge of the Grand Canyon kept yelling "throw me the keys" cause I drove and my truck keys were in my pocket.

Good thing Im sure footed or I guess that could have been very bad.  But the adrenaline rush being on the edge was unreal.

Some of my manufacturing knowlege was of course learned from others but most of my methods are self taught over the years as I fine tuned my infinitely scalable manufacturing model.  I do use manufacturing industry standards like Lean, J.I.T., Kanban, Kaizen, etc, etc, yet I did not know those terms nor thier existence due to no formal training.  I developed my own systems over the years that accomplish those things as that is basically manufacturing 101 in my mind.

In creating my Invention(s) I took all things into consideration.  What I had seen out there and engineered my invention(s) to be different and not infringe on any IP I ever saw nor any Claims I ever read.

Patents are very specific things thus you have to have it all or you have nothing in the claims.  There are also Independent Claims and Dependent Claims.  An example would be if a part of an Independent Claim is not applicable then the whole Independent Claim is not applicable nor are any of the Dependent Claims of that Independent Claim applicable. 

In a nut shell as long as you dont use what someone else can Claim or has Claimed then you can Patent your Invention.  I knew this thus I made sure not to use others inventions.  And to create my own different way to do things which is why my invention(s) differ from others and stand apart from others.

After I evaluated everything I could find on the subject matter I recognized how I could create my own fire control things that America could buy on the store shelf.  Single Function of the Trigger is Legal for all Americans so thats what I focused on.  Virtually indestructible fire control systems that maintain Federal Legal Single Function of the Trigger.

Man what an undertaking that was.  The engineering began in my mind as I used the core concept of my Invention(s) and created the ARIZONA REGULATOR®.  Once I had the core concept engineered in my head I had to get that core concept 3d wire framed image floating around in the sky in my head to turn into something I can touch. 

Thus I fired up the CAD got out the inspection instruments threw one of my ARs on the bench and began creating the first prototype of my Invention.  As I went thru this I did it all, engineering, CAD, tool the machine build the fixtures program the Gcode on CNC milling center and ran the first one from start to me taking it to the desert and it going bang.

I had alot of fun as the creating part is what I really love to do.  Same same day to day bores me pretty quick.  Having some kind of obstacle or challenge for my mind to work on overcoming is interesting to say the least.  The first one of these I made worked just fine same as I knew it would.  From that very first one to the current models I do now there have never been any significant changes to the Invention nor the parts.

The core principal and engineering I began with are what we hold to today.  This was never an ongoing R&D project that was being sold to the public as it was being developed.  I created all this and filed my provisional before public disclosure to the world on July 4th 2024.  Soon the world shall see that for truth and fact once my Patent Pending writings are finally issued the U.S. Patent Number.

Once the patent issues I'll probably show yall the original prototypes, but until then we will just wait.

I have many more Inventions up my sleeve.  None have ever seen paper they all exist in my head same as this Invention did before I brought it to life in physical form with my own two hands.  All will surely ruffle someone's feathers.  But I will produce them all for America at some point.

Most of my Inventions are revolutionary enough I dont have to worry about racing someone to market with them.  No one has thought of them yet or they would already be out there in public purview.  I'll dominate the market with those same as I have done with The ARIZONA REGULATOR® AMERICAS TRIGGER®.

The America I grew up in in the late 70s early 80s, The American People, our Declaration of Independence and Constitution along with thier Founding Principals, and The American Flag, are all I have in the world.

Thus I created the ARIZONA REGULATOR® and made it available for My Fellow Americans to buy off the store shelf or direct from us.  Just like whatever else I decide to bring forth next.  I do this all for yall, my Brothers in Arms.

Yes I kept the IP guarded so it would not fall into the hands of bad people.  And no my Invention(s) are not "open source free for the taking".  But if someone like Chris Dillon up at Dillon Aero/Dillon Rifle Co wanted to buy this run it to the moon flooding the Country with Freedom for all Americans and keep it protected it for America and Freedom I'd probably sell it to him and just go create a new thing that conquers an industry segment of the gun market in America.

Yes folks USPTO has allowed my entire intent and claims structure.  Unreal that a man with no formal education could write and file his own U.S. Provisional, U.S. Utility to include Claims and file them both on his own.  Ive been Registered with USPTO for many years. The wildest part of these filings is I did not have to ammend my specification which the core of my specification existed in my Provisional that as I mentioned I filed the Provisional prior to Public Disclosure on July 4th 2024. Fortunately my Cites of Prior Art are vast and I included alot of things that needed to be looked at by USPTO to ensure I did not cross into anyone elses IP.

Why would I do that, sell this revolutionary Patent that is in the process of issuing as the prosecution of the merits is already closed.  Simple I have way to many important inventions to create from those 3d wire framed images that float around in my head.  Trying to get more of these inventions out of my head and into physical form is very time consuming and very difficult to do when I also have to run day to day operations and everything else here at ARIZONA REGULATOR®.

Whats next you ask.  Beltfed maybe, Extreme long range shooting maybe, 1911 maybe, all depends on what tripps my proverbial trigger at that time because those and much more are all in the engineering files in my head.  The 3d wire framed images abound.
